About Jason

Jason Hardie is the driving force behind Johnson Building, supported by his wife Lisa.

Jason started his apprenticeship with a successful South Canterbury building company in 2004 and worked with the team for seven years. In 2011, he moved to Western Australia and spent two years building a new mine camp, before being head hunted to be the camp’s maintenance manager. After two years, Jason moved to Perth and worked on high-spec commercial fit-outs – shops, banks, fast food outlets, offices. It was project management on steroids.

In 2015, Johnson Building approached Jason to take up a role as Operations Manager and, together with wife Lisa, they decided the time was right to move back to Timaru and raise their family. The couple bought the company in 2016.
