Stage 1: Share your ideas with us
Meet Jason Hardie, Johnson Building’s owner and project manager. Jason works on every new build and project – from inception, through to completion.
Stage 2: Draw up the plans
CONCEPT PLAN
The concept plan is where you capture your ideas and they take their first step towards becoming reality.
With your concept plan as the start point, Jason guides you through more detailed planning, ensuring you’re across every fine point. This stage is critical and sets the rest of the build up for success.
DRAFT PLAN
The draft plan is where the details take shape:
Floor plan
Elevation
Electrical plan
Internal room layouts
Site plan
CONSTRUCTION PLANS
The construction plans are two- and three-dimensional architectural drawings that provide all of your build’s important information, including:
Building codes
Installation techniques
Measurements
Quality standards
Stage 3: Consented drawings
The construction plans are submitted to council for sign off. This step can take up to 20 working days.
It’s at this point our promise of open communication and stress-free project management comes into play. Your Project Manager stays in touch throughout this time, keeping you informed in the approval process.
Stage 4: Build
Your project transitions from paper plans, into physical work on site.
You meet your Site Foreman, who’s responsible for all the aspects of your build and keeping you informed.
Stage 5: Hand over
The final stage – where your dream becomes a reality! How exciting… not only for you but also for us and the wider Johnson team. This is the stage where all the hard work pays off as you receive the keys to your dream home.
We go through the property with you to ensure that everything meets the Johnson Building high standards set and that you have a home that will last for generations to come.
